Security operations
Telemetry is not detection. We help teams collect the right data, write detections that work, tune out the noise, and build investigation and response routines that people actually follow.
From logs to action
A SIEM with a million events a day and a handful of untested detections is not a detection capability. Real capability comes from knowing what you need to see, collecting it reliably, writing detections against specific attacker behavior, testing those detections, and having an analyst who knows what to do when one fires.
Our work follows that pipeline. We help with data onboarding, normalization, correlation, detection logic, investigation workflows and response. We work with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google Security Operations and Elastic Security. This is advisory and engineering support. We do not describe it as managed detection and response.
The detection pipeline
- Telemetry Endpoint, identity, network, cloud
- Normalization Consistent fields
- Correlation Join events across sources
- Detection Rules tied to behaviors
- Investigation Triage and context
- Response Contain and recover
Services
-
Threat hunting
Hypothesis-driven searches through your telemetry for attacker behavior that automated detections missed.
-
Detection engineering
Design, write, test and maintain detections tied to specific attacker behaviors, with false-positive control and documented response steps.
-
SIEM consulting
Architecture, data onboarding, cost control and migration for Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic and Google Security Operations.
-
SOC engineering
Design the people, process and tooling of a security operations function: tiers, escalation, playbooks, metrics and the tooling stack.
-
Security automation and SOAR
Automate repetitive investigation and response steps with approvals and logging, using your existing SIEM, EDR and ticketing tools.
-
Threat intelligence
Turn public and licensed threat reporting into priorities for your detections, testing and controls, without a flood of indicators.
Questions people ask
Do you provide a managed SOC?
No. We provide advisory and engineering services that help you build and improve detection and operations. If you need a managed service, we can help you evaluate providers.
Which SIEM platforms do you work with?
Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google Security Operations and Elastic Security. The right choice depends on your data sources, team skills and budget.
